Just a few words from Salzburg

Hello all, we are writing this from Salzburg, Austria. It is a beautiful country, however, we both dveloped a slight cold, and it is cold here, so it limited our ability to really get out and see Austria. But we are getting a bit ahead of ourseleves. Let´s go back to Venice. It was amazing. We met up with our friend Nick, whom we met in Athens, and hung out with in Corfu. We didn´t do any of the touristy things in Venice, we simply walked around the island for a few days and experienced it for ourselves...definitely the way to do it. We did eat a lot as well. Our next stop was Bled, Slovenia, a place we never would have expected to go even three weeks ago, but it came extremely highly recommended by a number of fellow travelers, so we decided to make it there. It completely delivered. We were totally blown away by the natural beauty, as well as the reasonably priced adventure sports. We went canyoning on our second day in Bled (we have a cd with all the pictures, we´ll try to get some on the blog next time) and it was one of the coolest experiences we´ve ever had. Tomorrow morning we are off to Prague, Czech republic and are excited about that. Then off to Poland to meet up with our friends Ania and Kuba whom we met in Rome. We will visit Auschwitz together and then head up to Warsaw and stay with them for the weekend. It will be great to see them, it´s always cool to see someone you met on your travels again. We hope all is well with everyone, and a special CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! goes out to Melanie, Joe, and Abby for welcoming William Joseph Schueller into the world last week. Love you and miss you all.
