Hello everyone, we are in gorgeous Athens, Greece. To get here from Rome we took a 3 hour 15 minute train to Ancona, then waited 5 hours to get aboard a night ferry to Igoumenitsa, Greece which took over seventeen hours. We did not have seats or a room so we slept on the deck because it is the cheapest way to go... sleeping bags come in mighty handy! We then traveled 8 hours by bus on the stinkiest, most uncomfortable piece of crap bus to get to Athens. It will all be worth it when we go to see the Acropolis and the ruins, and Zeus' Temple and many many others. We leave tomorrow night to take a bus back the exact same way we came to catch a short ferry to Corfu. We will be in Corfu for three days, even though Kelly has already been there, in fact we are staying in the exact same hostel. Getting to Greece has been unbelievably expensive and we have learned that it is always worth it to plan as far ahead as possible, while still allowing a little room for spontaneity. Thanks for the updates. We check up on you guys all the time. The beard is looking good bri-bri. I see you're building your tollerance for October Fest. Miss you both. FYI- As of 9/9/08 we're still a family of 3.

OMG - K and B - it's Merryl. I LOVE living vicariously via your world tour! As I sit watching the Cubs - Cardinals game ... :) I am so very happy for you both - you are living life exactly in the good Lord's great design - to see and forever cherish all the great wonders of the world. Greece is has been my longtime dream adventure - someday when the kids are a bit older I am going! So - make sure you post lots of great pics of greek men, I mean Greek Architecture and all on your blog for me.... I pray both my kids can find such wonderful partners and travel the world just like you two! God bless you both - will talk to you soon..... Love the beard Bri and Kelly, I too got my long hair wacked shorter and loving it! Your's is ADORABLE! Although you could wear a paper bag over your head and look drop dead gorgeous!

Sure sounds like you had a grueling trip to Greece. Now that you are in Corfu maybe you can relax a little and get caught up on some sleep. Where to next? Croatia? Keep us posted. Love you both. Take care of each other.

Sounds like you are having the time of your life -- a trip you can only do while you are young (and limber -- sleeping on a ferry, ugh). Saw the wedding video on Saturday -- it is amazing. Didn't realize how much I missed in all the excitement. The Rev looked and sounded really good -- he could troll for business with this video. I finally got to review this stuff and it looks as if you are having a wonderful time. Your pics are awesome. Ireland loked especilly cool. I miss you guys a ton. It's just not as fun around here without you. Keep rockin' Europe(and beyond) and hoist a cocktail in honor of your old pal Farley!
